Rules and Regulations for Race Day
All bikes entered into the race must have all coolant removed from the bike. Coolant can be replaced by distilled water. For the best result use Redline Supercool water wetter and that can be mixed with water to work as the lubricant. Supercool Water wetter is a lubricant for the water pump and will reduce friction and will keep the engine temperature down. Please note all bikes will be inspected at tech to see if they meet the Following requirements.
Due to the event being held at a location that is not a track year round you will need to place a dab of silicone on each bolt that has fluid behind it. For example (oil bolt, Pump drain plug, oil filler cap, etc) Safety wire will be mandatory on all bikes.
Mandatory Items
- Helmet
- Goggles
- Boots (NO Road Racing Boots)
- Riding Gear- Two Piece motocross gear or one-piece road racing leathers. Motocross gear allowed with under jersey protection.
- Gloves
- Front and rear axle sliders
- Peg sliders
- Hand Guards
- Knee and Elbow Pads
Recommended Items (Not Mandatory)
- Chest & Back Protector (Mandatory if using motocross apparel)
- Neck Brace
Fluid Control- Mandatory catch can with a 5oz minimum holding capacity
All of the below must go directly to the catch can:
- Carburetor Vent lines
- Radiator overflow lines
- Crankcase breather line
Please use a catch can that is designed for catching fluid materials.
Safety Wire (Mandatory)
- Oil Filler cap & Lines
- Oil Filter bolts
- Oil Filters with Threads must have metal clamps & wire
AMA LICENSE REQUIRED
TLD Morongo Mayhem Amateur day is going to be AMA sanctioned and will require an AMA membership to race the event. If you are not a member of the AMA you can get a membership the day of the event. Please note it can take 8 Weeks to get your membership in the mail. On the day of the event you must show proof of membership to race. If you do not have your card present you will need to buy another membership the day of the event. The AMA membership is $39 USD per year. www.amaracing.com
